Paektu Cultural Exchange has and engages a diverse, expert network to advise on, plan, and organize a wide variety of activities and exchanges involving the DPRK. We are involved in the following:

Cultural Exchanges

    • Open PCE Delegations and Development Projects

      • Organized themed cultural delegations which are open to the public

      • Themes include education, film, sport, music, art, language, dance, cultural restoration, and history

 

  • Sports and Athletics

    • Inviting DPRK professional, Olympic and amateur sporting teams/athletes/ officials abroad for friendly matches, training, workshops, tourism, cultural exchanges and activities.

    • Inviting foreign professional, Olympic and amateur sporting teams/athletes/ officials to the DPRK for friendly matches, training, workshops, tourism, cultural exchanges and activities.

 

  • Cultural Heritage

    • Facilitating cultural heritage restoration projects in the DPRK

    • Inviting foreign experts in cultural restoration, specifically in wood, tile, structural and the preservation of traditional paints for workshops, seminars, and hands-on training.

    • Inviting and hosting DPRK Koreans to foreign countries to learn and exchange knowledge on cultural restoration, specifically in wood, tile, structural and the preservation of traditional paints.

 

  • Fine Arts

    • Showcasing DPRK artwork abroad for loan to private and public art galleries, museums and events for exhibition, sale or auction.

    • Showcasing foreign artwork in the DPRK for loan to private and public art galleries, museums and events for exhibition, sale or auction.

    • Inviting DPRK merited artists, award-winning and amateur artists/students/officials abroad for exhibitions, conferences, training, workshops, tourism, cultural exchanges and activities.

 

  • Food and Culinary Arts

    • Inviting DPRK chefs, bakers, food engineers, alcohol/fermentation experts, culinary students and officials abroad for training and workshops at culinary schools and restaurants, as well as tourism, cultural exchanges and activities.

    • Inviting foreign chefs, bakers, food engineers, alcohol/fermentation experts, culinary students and officials abroad for training and workshops at culinary schools and restaurants, as well as tourism, cultural exchanges and activities.

 

  • Other Exchanges

Our Experience

  • Our diverse network of DPRK contacts have …

    • arranged DPRK musicians, singers, dancers and even circus artists to travel and perform abroad including in China, Russia, Mongolia, North America and Europe among other international destinations;

    • organized the 2013 & 2014 Dennis Rodman visits and the DPRK former NBA Championship Game;

    • managed cultural delegations who have physically crossed the DMZ at Panmunjom and Kaesong Industrial Complex into South Korean;

    • collaborated with the Prince Claus Fund (PCF) to complete the cultural heritage restoration the Ryongwang Pavilion as part of the Cultural Emergency Response (CER) program (2014-2015);

    • organized the 2008 New York Philharmonic Orchestra visit to the DPRK.
